Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are good, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are bad, your body is full of darkness. Be careful, then, that the light within you is not darkness. So if your whole body is full of light, with no part of it in darkness, you will be radiant, as though a lamp were shining on you.” (Luke 11:34-36)
What you look at determines whether or not you are full of light or full of darkness.
Jesus is the light of the world (John 8:12). When you look to Jesus and gaze upon Him, your body will be full of light.
When you look away from Jesus and look to the teachings of the world, you will fill your body with darkness.
Examine what you look at. Are you looking at things that are filling your life with darkness or with light?
Spend time in God's Word today. Study the Bible. Meditate on what you read. Pray about what you read. Let the light of Christ fill your life. ~ Jeff M Newman
