Blessed Rather Are Those Who Hear the Word of God and Obey It
Luke 11:28

Luke 11:28 But He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”
The true blessings in life come from hearing the Word of God and obeying it. It is not enough to simply hear God’s Word and think it sounds good. Jesus teaches that those who truly love Him will keep His commandments and live according to His truth.
Jesus also teaches that the wise person builds their house on the rock. This means making obedience to God’s Word the foundation of your life. When your life is built on Christ and His truth, you will have a firm foundation that stands through trials and difficulties.
This does not mean Christians obey perfectly. Believers still struggle and need God’s grace daily. But as you abide in Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit will give you the strength to obey Him and walk in His ways.
Ask God to help you not only hear His Word, but also live it out faithfully each day. ~ Jeff M Newman
