Christ Appeared to Take Away Sins
1 John 3:5

1 John 3:5 But you know that Christ appeared to take away sins, and in Him there is no sin.
Jesus is the visible manifestation of the eternal Son of God. He appeared to take away sins by removing their guilt and penalty through His atoning death.
He was able to do this because He is perfectly pure. In Him there is no sin. He knew no sin, committed no sin, and had no sin nature.
Because He is sinless, He gave His life in our place as our substitute. Through His death and resurrection, forgiveness and eternal life are given to all who trust in Him.
When we trust in Christ, we are counted righteous before God because His righteousness is credited to us. ~ Jeff M Newman
