Christ in You, the Hope of Glory
Colossians 1:27

Colossians 1:27 To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
This was written by Paul. The good news is that God has not only saved people from their sins, but that Christ Himself lives within His followers.
Paul calls this reality “the riches of the glory of this mystery.”
This truth reveals how lavish God’s grace is in our lives. Our future hope of glorification is grounded in Christ living within us.
As we hold fast to this hope of being like Christ and dwelling with God forever, it shapes the way we live now.
By the work of Christ within us, our lives grow in purity as we are progressively conformed to Him. ~ Jeff M Newman

Observe Jesus’ Commands
Fast secretly. Don’t do outward spiritual activities in order in order to seek attention and praise of others.
Matthew 6:16-18 When you fast, do not be somber like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces to show men they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they already have their full reward. 17 But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, 18 so that your fasting will not be obvious to men, but only to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
