For Christ also suffered for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit..(1 Peter 3:18)
Peter wrote to believers who were suffering unjustly. He encouraged them to endure hardship while doing what is right, remembering that Christ also suffered for righteousness’ sake. Through His suffering we see the perfect example of how to respond to injustice with humility, patience, and trust in God.
It was through Christ’s suffering that we were made right with God. The Righteous One gave His life for the unrighteous so that we could be brought near to Him. This reveals the depth of His sacrificial love.
When you believe in Christ you are born again and His righteousness begins to live in you. His presence gives you the strength to love as He loves and to persevere when life feels unfair.
So stand firm in Him. The suffering you face for doing what is right is not wasted. It becomes a reflection of Christ living in you and a testimony of His righteousness at work in your life. ~ Jeff M Newman
