Proverbs 4:25-27 Let your eyes look forward; fix your gaze straight ahead. 26 Make a level path for your feet, and all your ways will be sure. 27 Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your feet away from evil.
God wants you to become more and more like Jesus each day. As you grow in Christ, this involves making many choices about what you focus on and the path you take.
In Proverbs 4:25-27, Solomon encourages us to look straight ahead, carefully consider the path we are taking, and turn our feet away from evil. You have a choice about what you give your attention to each day. Choose to fix your eyes on the Lord and His ways. You also have choices about where you go and what you do. Some paths can lead you toward temptation and sin, so be wise about the direction you are taking.
As a Christian, you are called to walk by the Spirit rather than gratify the desires of the flesh (Galatians 5:16). The Spirit produces Christlike qualities in your life, including self-control (Galatians 5:22–23).
Ask God to help you keep your eyes on Him, recognize paths that could lead you toward sin, and turn away from evil. Don’t wait until you are already deep in temptation to make a decision. Choose beforehand to pursue what honors God.
Spend time in God’s Word and allow His truth to guide your life. Psalm 119:105 describes God’s Word as “a lamp” for our feet and “a light” for our path.
Keep your eyes on Christ, carefully consider the path you are taking, turn away from evil, and walk by the Spirit. As God works in you, He will continue transforming you to become more like Christ. ~ Jeff M Newman

Observe Jesus’ Commands
Give sacrificially and generously to the Lord.
Mark 12:41-44 As Jesus was sitting opposite the treasury, He watched the crowd putting money into it. And many rich people put in large amounts. 42 Then one poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which amounted to a small fraction of a denarius. 43 Jesus called His disciples to Him and said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more than all the others into the treasury. 44 For they all contributed out of their surplus, but she out of her poverty has put in all she had to live on.” (Luke 21:1-4)
