God made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:21)
Jesus was perfectly sinless. He is righteous. Yet He bore the full guilt, shame, and penalty of our sins. On the cross, He experienced the judgment we deserved. Because of what Jesus has done, when the Father looks at you, He sees the perfect righteousness of His Son. Let this truth fill your heart with deep gratitude and move you to worship God with reverence and joy. ~ Jeff M Newman
