2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who by grace has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope, 17 encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good word and deed.
In context, the apostle Paul wrote to the Thessalonian church during a time of persecution, false teaching, fear, and instability. Rather than allowing them to remain unsettled, Paul prays for them.
In this prayer, he reminds believers that God loves them and has graciously given them eternal comfort and good hope. This comfort is not temporary or dependent on circumstances, it is grounded in God’s grace.
Even when you experience trials or suffering, remember that your comfort and hope are secure in Him.
Biblical hope is not wishful thinking. It is a confident expectation based on the promises of God. Let this hope strengthen your heart so that every good word and deed flows from your trust in Christ.
Put your hope in Jesus. One day you will see Him as He is and be transformed to be like Him. Until then, live each day encouraged, knowing that the God who loves you is faithfully sustaining you. ~ Jeff M Newman

Observe Jesus’ Commands
Do to others as you would have them do to you.
Matthew 7:9-12 (NIV) “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. (Luke 6:31)
