1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
One of the main keys to purifying yourself is confession. To confess your sins means to agree with God that what you have done is sin. It involves honest acknowledgment, not minimizing, justifying, or hiding our wrongdoing. When we confess, God faithfully forgives us and cleanses us from all unrighteousness.
Do not wait. Confess right away. It takes humility to admit that what you did was sin, but the benefit is cleansing.
This is for Christians who are already saved and born again. Because we still have a sin nature, we will battle sin until the day Jesus returns. Confession is a way to continue purifying yourself day by day. This helps keep your relationship with God healthy and unhindered. ~ Jeff M Newman
