John 8:12 Once again, Jesus spoke to the people and said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”
In the Bible, light represents holiness, truth, and righteousness. In contrast, darkness represents sin, deception, and moral corruption.
When Jesus says that He is the light of the world, He is claiming to be the source of truth and moral purity. When you look to Jesus, you are pursuing purity and truth.
When you follow Jesus, you will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life, and you will experience growing purity as you walk with Him. ~ Jeff M Newman
