With all my heart I have sought You; do not let me stray from Your commandments. I have hidden Your word in my heart that I might not sin against You. (Psalm 119:10-11)
The key to walking on the path of God is to hide God's word in your heart. This is one of the best spiritual disciplines that you can develop. All you have to do is take a small part of a verse or an entire verse that is speaking to you right now and write it on a 3x5 card. Put a recurring reminder on your phone at a certain time of day that says "Scripture Memory." Pull out that card and repeat the verse out loud five times. Then, each week, add another short verse. This discipline only takes several minutes, but it can make a huge spiritual impact on your life. ~ Jeff M Newman
