I Have Loved You With an Everlasting Love
Jeremiah 31:3

The LORD appeared to him from afar: I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have drawn you with loving devotion. (Jeremiah 31:3)
In context, Jeremiah is speaking to Israel during a time of impending judgment. The nation had repeatedly broken God’s covenant, turning to idols and embracing injustice, corruption, and oppression despite generations of prophetic warnings. Because of their unfaithfulness, their relationship with God was deeply fractured, and exile was at hand. Yet even in this moment of discipline, God speaks a word of hope. His love for Israel has always been everlasting, and He continues to draw them back to Himself with steadfast devotion.
This verse reminds us today that even when we walk through darkness or feel far from God, His heart toward His people does not change. He still pursues, forgives, restores, and calls us back to Himself. God loves you with an unchanging love, and He remains faithful to His relationship with you. ~ Jeff M Newman
