I, the Lord, Do Not Change
Malachi 3:6

Malachi 3:6 “Because I, the LORD, do not change, you descendants of Jacob have not been destroyed.
In context, Malachi was written to the Israelites after they returned from exile. Even though God had faithfully kept His promise to bring them back to their land, the people questioned His love and failed to honor Him.
In response, God reminded them that He does not change. God’s character is unchanging. His holiness, love, justice, mercy, and faithfulness remain the same forever.
This truth points us to Jesus Christ. The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ is “the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). When you put your faith in Christ, you are trusting in the unchanging God who always keeps His promises.
People change. Circumstances change. Feelings change. But God never changes. You can trust His character, His Word, and His promises. Put your confidence in the unchanging God, who will never leave you nor forsake you. ~ Jeff M Newman
