James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

God wants to show you how to apply His Word to your life. That’s why He is telling you to ask for wisdom. Ask Him continually how to live righteously. This begins with the fear of the Lord. The fear of the Lord means that you revere God and take Him and His guidance seriously. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

God promises to give you wisdom generously when you ask Him in faith. He will not reproach you for coming to Him and asking. Ask Him to help you understand which Scriptures apply to your specific situation. Ask Him to give you the strength and power to obey His Word.

Go to Him right now regarding what is going on in your life and ask for wisdom. Live in moment-by-moment dependence on Him. Live for His glory. ~ Jeff M Newman

Luke 10:18-20 So He told them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 Behold, I have given you authority to tread on snakes and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will harm you. 20 Nevertheless, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
