If You Knew Me, You Would Know My Father as Well
John 8:19

Where is Your Father?” they asked Him. “You do not know Me or My Father,” Jesus answered. “If you knew Me, you would know My Father as well.” (John 8:19)
In context, Jesus is confronting the Pharisees, the religious leaders and teachers of the Law of Moses, who question Him by asking, “Where is Your Father?” By asking this, they reveal that they do not truly know God the Father, because they do not recognize who Jesus is.
In John 14:6, Jesus says, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” The only way to know the Father is through Jesus.
In order to know God the Father, a person must put their faith in Christ. When someone believes in Him, they are born again and called a child of God. Because the Pharisees did not believe in Jesus, they were not born again and therefore did not truly know the Father. But if you believe in Jesus today, you can know the Father personally and live as His beloved child. ~ Jeff M Newman

Thanks for sharing that link I appreciate that you care about what we read and how it affects our hearts it’s always wise to reflect on every message through the light of God’s Word when we follow Christ our identity changes completely we are no longer defined by our past failures or by the world’s standards instead we belong to Him as 2 Corinthians 5 : 17 says if anyone is in Christ the new creation has come the old has gone the new is here there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus Romans 8 1 we are God’s children adopted into His family forgiven and loved 1 John 3 : 1 and Galatians 2 :20 reminds us that we have been crucified with Christ and it is no longer we who live but Christ who lives in us so our lives are to reflect His love truth and grace that means when we read ideas even on platforms like Substack we must test them by Scripture 1 Thessalonians 5 : 21 if what we read points us away from Christ’s truth we reject it if it draws us closer to the gospel we hold on let us pray for wisdom and discernment that the Holy Spirit will guide us into all truth John 16: 13 and let us remember to live out what we believe loving others sharing hope forgiving caring for the weak and reflecting Christ in our words and deeds Colossians 3 : 12 to 14 as Ephesians 4: 22 to 24 encourages us to put off our old self and be renewed in the spirit of our minds and put on the new self created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness let us also hold fast to Philippians 4: 13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me trusting that He will empower us to live according to His will even in challenging times may we be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power Ephesians 6 :10 and put on the full armor of God so that we can stand against the schemes of the enemy Ephesians 6 :11 may God bless you richly with His wisdom love and peace and may He help us stand firm in His Word no matter what voices the world raises and may He help us help others know their identity in Christ and the hope we have in Him 1 Peter 3 :15
