In The Beginning Was The Word
John 1:1-2
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. (John 1:1-2)
“The Word” is another name for Jesus. Jesus was there in the beginning, before creation. Jesus was not a created being. By Jesus, all things were created. Since Jesus was there in the beginning, this is showing that He is eternal. He has always existed. Jesus was with God the Father in the beginning. Jesus and God the Father have an intimate fellowship throughout all eternity. Jesus and God the Father are distinct from each other, yet are both God. ~ Jeff M Newman
