In This Hope We Were Saved
Romans 8:22-25

Romans 8:22-25 We know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until the present time. 23 Not only that, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. 24 For in this hope we were saved; but hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he can already see? 25 But if we hope for what we do not yet see, we wait for it patiently.
This was written by Paul. He acknowledges that we are living in a world that is groaning together. This life is full of challenges, pain, suffering, and trials. However, in the midst of the groaning, there is hope. As Christians, we have a biblically grounded hope that is centered on the promises of God. We wait patiently as we will one day become like Christ and see Him face to face as He is. God understands how hard this life can be, and He loves us through our difficulties. Rest in His promises and put your hope in Him.~ Jeff M Newman

Observe Jesus’ Commands
Enter through the narrow gate that leads to life.
Matthew 7:13-14 Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the way that leads to life, and only a few find it.
John 10:6-10 Jesus spoke to them using this illustration, but they did not understand what He was telling them. 7 So He said to them again, “Truly, truly, I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 All who came before Me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. 9 I am the gate. If anyone enters through Me, he will be saved. He will come in and go out and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have it in all its fullness.

Really appreciate how this ties present struggle to future hope without minimizng the pain. The "groaning together" framing from Romans is something alot of faith communities gloss over. Waiting patiently is hard when everything feels urgent, but the reminder that hope isn't just wishful thinking helps.
