Innocent Blood
Matthew 27:4

Matthew 27:4 “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood,” he said. “What is that to us?” they replied. “You bear the responsibility.”
In this verse, Judas Iscariot realizes that he has betrayed Jesus, who is completely innocent. Even the one who handed Jesus over acknowledges that He did nothing wrong. Jesus is pure and without sin.
In our lives, we face a choice in how we respond to Jesus. Like Judas, we can turn away from Him, or we can place our faith in Him.
It is through the pure and innocent blood of Jesus that our sins are forgiven. As Scripture says in 1 John 3:3, those who put their hope in Christ pursue purity because He is pure.
Take a moment to recognize that Jesus is perfectly pure. Fix your hope on Him, and let His purity shape the way you live each day. ~ Jeff M Newman
