The Father God sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins.
To pay the penalty for our sins, Jesus humbled Himself and became a man. Since all have sinned, only a sinless person could pay the penalty for all our sins.

Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God. (Ephesians 5:2) If you want to know how to love others, look to Jesus. He is the ultimate example of what it means to love others.
