For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. (Romans 8:14)

This verse shows us that the evidence of being a child of God is a life led by the Spirit. Scripture teaches that there are only two ways to live, either according to the sinful nature or according to the Spirit. The child of God depends on the Spirit, is guided by the Spirit, and is empowered by the Spirit. As a child of God, you are never alone. God is continually leading you and shaping your life.
