1 John 2:24 As for you, let what you have heard from the beginning remain in you. If it does, you will also remain in the Son and in the Father.
In this life, you will encounter false teachings that are designed to lead you away from the truth of Jesus Christ. John’s encouragement is to hold firmly to what you heard from the beginning of your walk with Jesus.
Remember that Jesus died on the cross for your sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. Remember who He is and what He has done for you. Remember that you are saved by grace through faith in Him.
Do not be deceived by false teachers who seek to add to, distort, or replace the truth of Christ. Stay rooted in God’s Word and continue trusting in Jesus.
As you hold fast to the gospel and abide in His truth, you will remain in fellowship with the Son and with the Father. God is faithful and will help you continue walking with Him. ~ Jeff M Newman

John 12:35 Then Jesus told them, “For a little while longer, the Light will be among you. Walk while you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you. The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going. 36 While you have the Light, believe in the Light, so that you may become sons of light.”
John 20:27-29 Then Jesus said to Thomas, “Put your finger here and look at My hands. Reach out your hand and put it into My side. Stop doubting and believe.” 28 Thomas replied, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” 30 Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book. 31 But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name.
