Act wisely toward outsiders, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. (Colossians 4:5-6)
At the time this was written, the early Christians were under constant attack because they did not worship the gods of Rome and Greece. This is the same today. Christians are under attack for their beliefs. In light of this, you are called to act wisely and have gracious speech towards others. Pay close attention to the words that come out of your mouth. Do your words uplift others or are they filled with complaints and criticism? How you speak and act is a reflection of God. Use your every action and every word to glorify our gracious God.
