Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. (1 John 4:11)
God is calling you to love others in the same way He loves you. To understand God’s love, look to Jesus. He gave His life for you sacrificially. He endured great pain and suffering to pay for your sins on the cross so you could have eternal life. Loving others can be difficult at times. Ask God to help you love like Jesus, and spend time learning about what He has done for you. ~ Jeff M Newman

Called Children of God
Behold what manner of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God. And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. (1 John 3:1)
Good Afternoon, Brother! Good post!
As I read, I was reminded of sermon I heard some years ago. In it, the preacher quoted Matthew 6:14-25, where Jesus said,
"For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions."
To this, the preacher said, "We're never more like God than when we forgive someone who has offended us."
Ouch. It made me think of how often I have failed to forgive over the years.
The older I get, the more convinced I become that the greatest way I can show that I love the Lord is to forgive. Every time. No matter what.
