But to those of you who will listen, I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. (Luke 6:27-28)
In this world, you are going to have people that do not treat you well. In your flesh, it is easy to retaliate and have bitterness. These can ultimately cause a lot of pain. However, Jesus has another strategy. He says to do the following. 1. Love them. 2. Bless them. 3. Pray for them. Do you have people in your life that you struggle with or who have done mean things to you? Follow Jesus’ instructions, rather than resort to sinful behavior. ~ Jeff M Newman

This is so timely as I am needing prayer to love those that mistreat me. I am dealing with a David and Goliath situation where a government agency is taking a very malicious stance against me for a documented mistake made by their employee on my nursing scholarship. After they made the mistake, admitted and admitted to it, they lied to my university stating they they would fully reinstated my scholarship for me to return. We later discover this was not truthful, and they with held the fact that they would not fully support me returning so that I could sign another contract. It was by God's grace that I made an error on the contract, and when I learned of their dishonesty, I decided to sever the relationship. Since this time they are charging me with a debt of $34k that they fully intend, and can because they are government, to take from me. I am out here trying to fight this on my own for the last 5 years. I have grown weary and at times very angry. I need the Lord's peace and to trust that vengeance is his. Please pray that the Lord's will be done and he gives me favor in this situation.
