I consider that our present sufferings are not comparable to the glory that will be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18)
Jesus says "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and let him take up his cross every day, and let him follow Me.” (Luke 9:23)
This makes it difficult to follow Him. You have to choose God’s ways versus the ways of the world.
The ways of the world are about living for yourself, following your own ways, and doing whatever you want. Following Jesus involves dying to your flesh and doing what God wants.
Even though it can be hard to do, this is nothing compared to the glory that will be revealed in you. ~ Jeff M Newman
