Romans 8:18 I consider that our present sufferings are not comparable to the glory that will be revealed in us.
Paul, the author of Romans, experienced intense suffering. He was imprisoned, beaten, and constantly persecuted. He wrote these words to encourage believers that our present suffering is not comparable to what is to come. He magnifies the complete and glorious transformation that awaits us in the future.
Lift your eyes from your present suffering and understand that this is not your permanent state. Have an eternal perspective, knowing that your present sufferings are temporary. One day, you will have a glorified body and live in the presence of God for eternity. ~ Jeff M Newman
