Perfect Love Drives Out Fear
1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment. The one who fears has not been perfected in love. (1 John 4:18)
There is no greater fear than the fear of being eternally separated from God and punished for your sins. But when you understand that God loves you so much that He sent His Son to die on the cross to pay the penalty for your sins, that fear begins to fade. Jesus took the punishment in your place. The more you understand and believe in God's love for you, the more fear will be driven out, and the more confidence you will have in your future. ~ Jeff M Newman
