Prepare Your Minds for Action
1 Peter 1:13

1 Peter 1:13 Therefore prepare your minds for action. Be sober-minded. Set your hope fully on the grace to be given you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
In the previous verses in this chapter, we learn that our salvation and inheritance are secure because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
Therefore, we are called to prepare our minds for action. This is a call to intentional readiness, not careless living.
We are to be sober minded and alert in our walk with Christ. Our hope is to be set fully on the grace that will be revealed when Jesus Christ returns.
We look toward that coming moment by living prepared now, watchful, disciplined, and not overcome by the flesh or spiritual opposition. ~ Jeff M Newman
