But this is not the way you came to know Christ. Surely you heard of Him and were taught in Him—in keeping with the truth that is in Jesus—to put off your former way of life, your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be renewed in the spirit of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. (Ephesians 4:20-24)
God is calling you to be transformed. The key to transformation in Jesus is to stop doing those things that were corrupting you and to start doing the things that Jesus is commanding you to do, like loving others. To learn what Jesus wants you to do, it is crucial to fill your mind with His Word. The Word of God will renew your mind and change you. ~ Jeff M Newman
