Colossians 3:1-3 Therefore, since you have been raised with Christ, strive for the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
When you put your faith in Christ, you become united with Him. You are raised with Him to new and eternal life. Because of this relationship, you are called to set your mind on things above and not on the things of this world. This means continually looking to Christ and seeking His will.
As you focus on Him, your thoughts, desires, and actions will increasingly be transformed to reflect His character. You do this through prayer, worship, obedience, and spending time in God’s Word.
Take a moment right now to meditate on these verses and ask God to work in your heart. As you abide in Christ, He will continue to shape you into His image and help you live for what truly matters. ~ Jeff M Newman

Observe Jesus’ Commands
Be persistent in your prayers, pray at all times, and don’t lose heart.
Luke 18:1-8 Then Jesus told them a parable about their need to pray at all times and not lose heart: 2 “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected men. 3 And there was a widow in that town who kept appealing to him, ‘Give me justice against my adversary.’ 4 For a while he refused, but later he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God nor respect men, 5 yet because this widow keeps pestering me, I will give her justice. Then she will stop wearing me out with her perpetual requests.’ ” 6 And the Lord said, “Listen to the words of the unjust judge. 7 Will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry out to Him day and night? Will He continue to defer their help? 8 I tell you, He will promptly carry out justice on their behalf. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?”
