The one who sows to please his flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; but the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. (Galatians 6:8)
God is clear about the results of living your life to please the flesh. Living to please the flesh will lead to destruction.
Here is what the Bible says about the acts of the flesh. “The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery; idolatry and sorcery; hatred, discord, jealousy, and rage; rivalries, divisions, factions, and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like.” (Galatians 5:19)
When you are involved in these things, you are planting seeds that will destroy your life. Don’t sow to the flesh. Instead, focus on sowing to please the Spirit. You sow to please the Spirit by surrendering to God and setting your mind on things above.
Fill yourself with the Word of God, worship, prayer, fellowship, service to God, thankfulness, and praise. This will lead to an abundant life. ~ Jeff M Newman
