But many who are first will be last, and the last will be first. (Matthew 19:30)
Jesus' view of success is different from that of the world. It is easy to look at the wealthiest people and envy their success.
However, Jesus calls us to live a life of humility and put others' needs in front of our own. He calls us to seek eternal treasures rather than earthly treasures.
He calls us to help those who are marginalized and overlooked by society. Live your life with an eternal perspective and seek to please God rather than seeking the approval of others. ~ Jeff M Newman

Lesson 10 - 1 John 1:2...that was with the Father and was revealed to us.
Welcome back to the Hope Bible School verse-by-verse Bible study of 1 John. Last lesson we learned that Jesus is “the eternal life,” we learned what the Bible says about eternal life, and that we need to proclaim “the eternal life” to others. In this lesson we’re going to learn about the relationship between Jesus and God the Father.
Put Off Your Former Way Of Life
Surely you heard of Him and were taught in Him—in keeping with the truth that is in Jesus— to put off your former way of life, your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be renewed in the spirit of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. (Ephesians 4:21-23)
