The Lord Is A Refuge
Psalm 9:9
The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. (Psalm 9:9)
There is no doubt about it, life can be hard. You can feel the pressures of life upon you in a major way. It can feel like you are going to get crushed. When you feel like this, go to the LORD. He will protect you from oppression and troubles. How do you do this? Pause, look up to the LORD, get on your knees, and seek Him. Cast all your cares upon Him. He promises to be your refuge and stronghold. Claim this promise. ~ Jeff M Newman

Trials Produce Perseverance
Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you encounter trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Allow perseverance to finish its work, so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. (James 1:2-4)
