The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. (Psalm 23:1)
The LORD compares us to sheep. Sheep have a tendency to wander off and get lost. Isaiah 53:6 says, “We all like sheep have gone astray, each one has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid upon Him the iniquity of us all.” You need the LORD to be your shepherd. The LORD will lead you and guide you and provide for all your needs. Your biggest need is salvation. The good shepherd, Jesus, has provided for your need for salvation by laying his life down for yours on the cross. ~ Jeff M Newman
