1 Peter 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, reserved in heaven for you, 5 who through faith are shielded by God’s power for the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.
In context, Peter is writing to believers who are experiencing suffering because of their faith. He encourages them by reminding them that, through God’s mercy, they have been given new life. They are no longer spiritually dead, and their hope is anchored in the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. This hope is not wishful thinking, but a living and certain hope grounded in what God has already accomplished in Christ.
Peter also reminds them that they have an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, reserved in heaven for them. Unlike earthly possessions, which can be lost, corrupted, or destroyed, this inheritance is secure and cannot be taken away. Their future is not uncertain or fragile. It is guarded by God Himself.
As believers, we are being protected by God’s power through faith for a salvation that will be fully revealed in the last time. Even when it feels as though life is falling apart, we can rest in this truth. We have been given new life, we have an eternal inheritance awaiting us, we are kept by God’s power, and one day we will be fully glorified with Christ. ~ Jeff M Newman

Observe Jesus’ Commands
Don’t be angry with a brother or sister or call them a fool. Control your anger.
Matthew 5:22 (NIV) But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘Raca,’ is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.
