The Secret Things Belong to the Lord Our God

Deuteronomy 29:29

The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, so that we may follow all the words of this law. (Deuteronomy 29:29)

In context, Moses was addressing the Israelites on the plains of Moab before they entered the Promised Land. He wanted them to understand that God does not reveal everything about His plans. God chooses to keep some things hidden, and there are mysteries that remain beyond human understanding. At the same time, God faithfully reveals what we need to know so that we can follow His ways.

Be encouraged today. God has already revealed what you need in order to take the next step of faith. As you grow in your relationship with Him, your understanding will deepen. Focus on faithfully responding to what God has revealed to you today, trusting that in His time, He will make more known. ~ Jeff M Newman
