Hebrews 1:3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His nature, upholding all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
Jesus radiates God’s glory. He is the Light of the world and the image of the invisible God. When you look to Jesus, you see God. When you know Jesus, you know God. He upholds all things by His powerful word. In Him all things hold together. Through His death on the cross, He provided purification for sins once for all. Now He reigns at the right hand of the Father as the King of kings and Lord of lords. Trust Christ today in every area of your life. ~ Jeff M Newman

This is a powerful meditation on Christ's role here. The phrase 'upholding all things by His powerful word' really caught my attention - it's not just about creation but continuous sustenance. When I'm stressed aboutstuff falling apart, remembering this truth about Jesus actively holding things together helps alot. The connection between purifying work and current reign is particularly helpful.
