Or what woman who has ten silver coins and loses one of them does not light a lamp, sweep her house, and search carefully until she finds it? And when she finds it, she calls together her friends and neighbors to say, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my lost coin.’ In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels over one sinner who repents.” (Luke 15:8-10)
In this parable, the lost coin represents a person who is spiritually lost. The woman tirelessly searches for the lost coin, symbolizing God's unwavering pursuit of those who are lost.
God deeply values each individual and experiences immense joy when someone repents and turns to Him.
As you observe the people around you, remember that God desires everyone you see to have a relationship with Him. When you hear that someone has come to God, rejoice in the fact that they were once lost but now are found. By doing so, you join in celebration with God. ~ Jeff M Newman
