As soon as Jesus was baptized, He went up out of the water. Suddenly the heavens were opened, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and resting on Him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased!” (Matthew 3:16-17)
In these verses, we see God the Father’s official recognition of Jesus as the Messiah. We can see the prophecy of this event in the book of Isaiah which says “Here is My Servant, whom I uphold, My Chosen One, in whom My soul delights. I will put My Spirit on Him, and He will bring justice to the nation. (Isaiah 41:1)
In the verses from the book of Matthew, we can see the presence of all members of the Trinity. God the Son was baptized, God the Father spoke, and God the Holy Spirit descended like a dove.
There is a deep fellowship and unity between the members of the Holy Trinity. Jesus came to this earth to invite you to be a part of this perfect relationship. Read John 17:20-23. ~ Jeff M Newman

Lesson 10 - 1 John 1:2...that was with the Father and was revealed to us.
Listen now (9 mins) | Welcome back to the Hope Bible School verse-by-verse Bible study of 1 John. Last lesson we learned that Jesus is “the eternal life,” we learned what the Bible says about eternal life, and that we need to proclaim “the eternal life” to others. In this lesson we’re going to learn about the relationship between Jesus and God the Father.
God The Son Came To Make God The Father Known
No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is Himself God and is at the Father’s side, has made Him known. (John 1:18) You are not able to see God the Father with your eyes. That’s because God the Father is spirit according to John 4:24 and no one can see God’s face and live according to Exodus 33:20.
