1 Corinthians 15:51-52 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— 52 in an instant, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
Paul is letting his readers know that he is about to reveal a mystery. This is something that was once hidden but has now been revealed by God. Believers will undergo a supernatural transformation at Christ’s return. We will be changed instantly, in the twinkling of an eye. This transformation will be sudden.
The same power that raised Jesus from the dead will also raise and perfect believers forever. This means there will be no decay, no corruption, and no vulnerability to death. At that time, God will make us like Christ.
Let this truth motivate you today. Live in alignment with what you will one day be at this moment of sudden glorification. ~ Jeff M Newman
