1 John 2:6 Whoever claims to abide in Him must walk as Jesus walked.
If you are abiding in Jesus Christ and living in close relationship with Him, your life will increasingly reflect His character and ways. To abide in Christ means to remain deeply connected to Him continually through faith, dependence, and fellowship.
As Christians, we are called to grow more and more into the image of Christ. This transformation happens as we abide in Him. The closer we walk with Jesus, the more we come to know who He is, how He lived, and how He calls us to live.
This does not mean believers become perfectly sinless, but it does mean there will be a growing desire to follow Christ in obedience, humility, love, and righteousness. As you abide in Him, the Holy Spirit works in your heart to shape you more into His likeness.
Abiding in Christ includes regularly praying, reading God’s Word, learning from the life of Jesus, and obeying His commandments by faith. If you want to walk more like Jesus, draw near to Him daily and remain connected to Him. ~ Jeff M Newman

Observe Jesus’ Commands
Be a giver and be welcoming.
Matthew 10:40-42 (NIV) “Anyone who welcomes you welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. 41 Whoever welcomes a prophet as a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and whoever welcomes a righteous person as a righteous person will receive a righteous person’s reward. 42 And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.” (Mark 9:41)
Matthew 25:35-40 ‘For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; 36 naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? 38‘And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? 39‘When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40“The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’
Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.”
Acts 20:35 In everything, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words of the Lord Jesus Himself: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”
