Whoever Follows Me Will Never Walk in the Darkness
John 8:12

John 8:12 Once again, Jesus spoke to the people and said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”
Jesus made this statement during the Feast of Tabernacles. This was a celebration where large lamps were lit in the temple courts to remember how God guided Israel through the wilderness with a pillar of fire.
By saying this, Jesus is declaring that He is the source of light to a dark world and that He will guide people out of spiritual darkness.
He promises that whoever follows Him will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.
In order to have Jesus lead you, fill your life with His Word. In Book of Psalms 119:105, the psalmist says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” ~ Jeff M Newman

Observe Jesus’ Commands
Pray privately and not to be seen by others.
Matthew 6:5-8 (NIV) “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
