1 Peter 5:4 And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.
Jesus is the Chief Shepherd, meaning He is above all human leaders and has ultimate authority over His people. He gave His life for His followers, laying it down willingly for the sheep. When He appears, He will give His followers the crown of glory. This is an eternal crown that never fades and will last forever. A crown is a symbol of victory. As believers, when we put our faith in Christ, we share in His victory over sin, death, and suffering. When Jesus appears, we will be like Him. ~ Jeff M Newman
