A Covenant for the People and a Light to the Nations
Isaiah 42:6-7

Isaiah 42:6-7 I, the LORD, have called you for a righteous purpose, and I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and appoint you to be a covenant for the people and a light to the nations, Morning morning 7 to open the eyes of the blind, to bring prisoners out of the dungeon and those sitting in darkness out from the prison house.
In this verse, we see God's purpose for the Messiah. He promised to keep Him and appoint Him to be a covenant for the people and a light to the nations.
God's plan was always that His salvation would reach every nation, tribe, and people through Jesus Christ, the Light of the world.
As followers of Christ, we have the privilege of participating in that mission by taking the gospel to the ends of the earth.
Pray that God would help you faithfully share the good news of Jesus Christ so that others may come to know and worship Him. ~ Jeff M Newman

Observe Jesus’ Commands
Beware of the scribes. Beware of corrupt, self-serving teachers that seek attention and recognition and take advantage of vulnerable individuals.
Mark 12:38-40 In His teaching He was saying: “Beware of the scribes who like to walk around in long robes, and like respectful greetings in the market places, 39 and chief seats in the synagogues and places of honor at banquets, 40 who devour widows’ houses, and for appearance’s sake offer long prayers; these will receive greater condemnation.” (Luke 20:45-47)
