Behold, I am sending you out like sheep among wolves; therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. (Matthew 10:16)
In the context of Matthew 10, Jesus is sending out His disciples to proclaim the message of the kingdom of God. He knew that they would experience opposition, challenges, and hostility.
As we go out into the world to share the Gospel, we will encounter similar situations.
Jesus instructs us to be pure and sincere, like doves, while also having wisdom and discernment, like snakes.
We can trust that God will provide guidance through prayer, studying His Word, and depending on the Holy Spirit for wisdom and discernment.~ Jeff M Newman
