“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:3)
To be poor in spirit means that you recognize the need for God's grace, mercy, and strength.
You acknowledge that you cannot rely on your own strength to enter the kingdom of heaven.
You understand that you are spiritually broke without Him. The good news is that Jesus came to give you an abundant spiritual life. (John 10:10)
When you recognize that you are spiritually poor without Christ and put your faith in Him, you can experience the abundant blessings that come from having a relationship with Jesus. ~ Jeff M Newman

Be Perfect
Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. (Matthew 5:48) Jesus is calling you to pursue perfection. He is calling you to align yourself with His teachings and seek to obey Him in all areas of your life. The good news is that this is possible through His strength, grace, and power.
