Consecrate Yourselves, Therefore, and Be Holy, Because I Am the Lord Your God

Leviticus 20:7-8 Consecrate yourselves, therefore, and be holy, because I am the LORD your God. 8 And you shall keep My statutes and practice them. I am the LORD who sanctifies you.
In context, God is calling the nation of Israel to live differently from the surrounding nations. He commands them to consecrate themselves. To consecrate means to set yourself apart for God’s holy purposes. It means to dedicate yourself completely to the Lord and separate yourself from sin in order to live for Him. Another word for this is sanctify.
As a Christian, this means surrendering your life to Jesus Christ. You are called to live in a way that reflects His holiness by obeying His Word.
The good news is that God does not leave you to do this in your own strength. Through the indwelling Holy Spirit, He gives you the power to obey and grow in holiness. As you abide in Christ, He continues His work of sanctification in your life, transforming you into His likeness and bringing glory to God. ~ Jeff M Newman
