Do Not Conform to the Passions of Your Former Ignorance
1 Peter 1:14-16

1 Peter 1:14-16 As obedient children, do not conform to the passions of your former ignorance. 15 But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do, 16 for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”
If you want to purify yourself, do not conform to the passions of your former ignorance. These are the sinful desires and impulses that shaped your life before knowing Christ, rather than living in submission to God’s will.
Make seeking God your highest priority. As you fix your gaze on Him, you are being conformed into the image of Christ. Make it your aim to be holy in all you do, because He is holy. ~ Jeff M Newman

Give sacrificially and generously to the Lord.
Mark 12:41-44 As Jesus was sitting opposite the treasury, He watched the crowd putting money into it. And many rich people put in large amounts. 42 Then one poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which amounted to a small fraction of a denarius. 43 Jesus called His disciples to Him and said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more than all the others into the treasury. 44 For they all contributed out of their surplus, but she out of her poverty has put in all she had to live on.” (Luke 21:1-4)
