Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. So then, by their fruit you will recognize them. (Matthew 7:17-20)
In this passage, Jesus teaches that true faith is revealed by the fruit it produces. When a person is transformed by God, their life begins to show evidence of that change through good works and godly character. Our actions demonstrate that we have been born again in Christ. Jesus also warns us of the final judgment for those whose lives show no good fruit. The key is to believe in Christ and remain in Him, allowing His Spirit to produce righteousness and lasting fruit in our lives. ~ Jeff M Newman
