…every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and which is already in the world at this time. (1 John 4:3)
All around you, there are influences, teachings, and people who deny Jesus. By doing so, they are caught up in the spirit of the Antichrist. In other words, they are against Christ. To confess Jesus means to publicly proclaim that He is the Son of God, the Messiah, and the Lord of all. Romans 10:9 says, "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
To protect yourself from false teaching in today’s world, be deeply rooted in the Word of God and test every teaching you encounter against Scripture. Be part of a biblically sound church, and be cautious of teachers who twist the Scriptures. ~ Jeff M Newman
